My Approach
As a Master’s student in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Griffith College through ICHAS, I practice Integrative Psychotherapy, combining techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) to meet each client’s unique needs while maintaining a coherent theoretical foundation. My approach blends empathy, deep listening, and evidence-based strategies to create a supportive space where clients can explore challenges, develop practical skills, and achieve meaningful personal growth.
Clinical Experience
I am currently seeing clients via Turn2Me, providing one-to-one online counselling sessions and supporting people across Ireland with a broad range of emotional and psychological concerns in a safe and confidential online setting. I have also gained supervised experience through the Tower Programme within the North Clondalkin Probation Project, where I participated as an observer and assisted with service users’ plans and with the programme activities. This work strengthened my understanding of therapeutic and rehabilitative approaches within the criminal justice system.

Community Impact & Volunteering
I volunteer with HIV Ireland’s MPower Programme, primarily providing rapid HIV tests so individuals can know their status, while also promoting the health, rights, and wellbeing of people living with and affected by HIV through education, advocacy, and practical support. I also volunteered with Text About It, a confidential mental health messaging service available to all, offering a safe and accessible conversation space for discussing emotional difficulties, building coping skills, and receiving support.
Research
In my undergraduate studies, I explored how men experience and express masculinity in Ireland. My project, Performative Masculinities of Non-Irish Men Living in Ireland, showed how cultural transition can open space for more flexible and authentic male identities. This work deepened my understanding of identity, culture, and belonging, insights that continue to inform my therapeutic practice, and for that project I earned a Certificate of Excellence from Dublin Business School, where I graduated with First-Class Honours.
Languages & Cultural Insight
Fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French, I value cultural diversity and strive to help clients feel both understood and empowered, fostering growth in a safe and inclusive therapeutic environment.
